Swedish Meat Ring
|Mix||3 Cup (48 tbs) (Swifting)|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Ground cooked ham/Other meat||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Gravy/Condensed cream of mushroom soup||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Thick One)|
Combine Mix and milk to make biscuit dough.
Turn out onto waxed paper.
Knead 6 times.
Roll out on lightly floured pastry cloth or board into an 8xl5 inch rectangle.
Melt Swift'ning in skillet, add green pepper and cook until tender.
Combine with meat and gravy.
Spread evenly over dough to within 1 inch of edges.
Roll up as for jelly roll.
Place on baking sheet.
Form a ring by bringing ends together.
Press edges together to seal.
With scissors slash ring, cutting on a diagonal from outside of ring almost to center.
Cut 12 pieces.
Turn each piece cut side up.
Bake in a hot oven until well browned.
Serve hot with mushroom sauce or gravy.
Baking temperature: 450Â° F.
Bake: About 20 minutes.
