Oven-Style Swiss Steak
|Beef round steak||2 Pound (1 Inch Think)|
|Onion||1 Medium, sliced of 1/2 cup|
|Canned sliced mushrooms||4 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
Trim fat from meat.
Pound meat with meat mallet; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Place meat in 11 3/4x7 1/2 x1 3/4 inch baking dish.
Top with onion and mushrooms; pour sauce over all.
Cook, covered, at 350Â° for 1 1/2 hours.
Uncover; cook 15 minutes longer.
To serve, spoon sauce over meat.
