Swedish Meat Balls
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Fine fresh bread crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Finely chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cream sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Caraway seed/Dill||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Combine first 8 ingredients.
Mix well and shape into balls using 1 tablespoonful for each ball.
Melt butter or margarine in blazer pan of chafing dish or fry pan on table top butane unit over direct high flame.
Brown meat balls well, turning as needed to brown evenly.
Cover; turn flame to low.
Cook just until done, 15 or 20 minutes.
Tip pan slightly and spoon off any excess fat.
Combine hot Cream Sauce and caraway seed or dill weed.
Pour over meat balls; stir gently.
Place over water jacket, if available, for serving.
