Meringue

This recipe for meringue can be used in any dessert. Simple and easy to prepare, the meringues are made by beating the eggs and flavored with vanilla. Especially made for spreading on pies, the meringue gets baked with the pie itself.
Ingredients
  Egg whites 2
  Sugar 5 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Beat the egg whites stiff, add sugar gradually, continuing to beat until mixture stands in peaks.
Add salt and vanilla and spread on pie
