|Milk||1 Pint (500 Milliliter / 2.5 Cup)|
|Porridge oats||2 Ounce (50 Gram / 0.25 Cup)|
|Sugar||2 Ounce (50 Gram / 0.25 Cup)|
|Whisky||2 Fluid Ounce (50 Milliliter / 1 Cup)|
|Whipped cream||1⁄4 Pint (5/8 Cup / 150 Milliliter)|
|Ginger slices in syrup||2|
|Crystallized lemon slices||2|
1 Boil the milk and sprinkle on the porridge oats.
Cook, stirring for 5 minutes until thick.
Add the sugar, pinch of nutmeg and the whisky.
2 When cold, fold in the whipped cream and put into two tall glasses, each holding 225 ml (8floz)(lcup).
3 Decorate with a slice of ginger and a slice of lemon and chill until served.
Tip: This may also be decorated with strips of angelica, fresh mint leaves, or piped whipped cream.
