Jiffy Barbecue Boats
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Fresh Or Frozen)|
|Sliced celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Catsup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Prepared mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Canned luncheon meat||12 Ounce, cut into strips|
|Frankfurter buns||6 , split and toasted|
In skillet cook onion and celery in butter till tender.
Stir in catsup, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire, and 1/3 cup water.
Stir in meat.
Simmer, uncovered, till heated through, about 15 minutes.
Spoon into buns.
Makes 6 servings.
