Shoo Fly Pie
|Molasses||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Boiling water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Crisco||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Unbaked 9 inch pie crust||1|
Dissolve baking soda in boiling water, add molasses and vanilla.
Combine brown sugar, flour and crisco to make crumbs.
Pour 1/3 of liquid into unbaked pie crust, add 1/3 of crumbs.
Repeat until all of the mixture is used; bake at 375 degrees for 35 min.
Serve warm with whipped cream.
