Romanian Bean Pot

  Dried pinto beans 1⁄4 Pound
  Dried great northern beans/Navy beans 1⁄2 Pound
  Water 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Bacon slices 4 , cubed
  Onion 1 Large
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm)
  Thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Green beans 1⁄2 Pound, cut into 1 inch pieces
  Wax beans 1⁄2 Pound, cut into 1 inch pieces
  Lemon juice 2 Teaspoon

Place dried beans in slow cooker.
Add water and soak overnight.
Do not drain.
Add bacon, onion, garlic, thyme, and salt.
Cover and cook on high 2 to 3 hours, until beans are tender.
Add green beans and wax beans.
Cover and cook on low about 20 minutes, until fresh beans are tender.
Add lemon juice just before serving.
