Danish Applesauce Muffins are simply one of the most delicious muffins I have come across. I prepare it for my tots as a snack. Serve the Danish Applesauce Muffins for your family and see how they fall in love with it!
Unsweetened applesauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Packed dark brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), melted
  Unbleached flour 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

Mix applesauce, brown sugar, and shortening together in large bowl.
Sift flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves in another bowl.
Make a well in the center of dry ingredients and add applesauce mixture.
Stir together, folding as lightly as possible.
Spoon into greased muffin tins and bake until lightly browned.
The addition of walnuts to the recipe adds a crunch taste and a delicious flavor, if you wish.
Bake at 375 degrees 25 to 30 minutes
