Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Baking soda 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Canned tomatoes 1 Pound, drained
  Shredded cheddar cheese 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Dry mustard 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Buttered toasted english muffins 6 , split open
  Buttered, toasted english muffins 6 , split open
Directions

Melt butter in a medium-sized, heavy skillet.
Stir in flour and remove from heat.
Gradually add milk to make a smooth, thick paste.
Return to low heat.
Mix baking soda with tomatoes; add to skillet.
Gradually add remaining ingredients (except muffins), stirring over low heat until all cheese melts.
Spoon this mixture over English muffins; serve.
