Pennsylvania Dutch Cold Lettuce

|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cream/Evaporated milk||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lettuce head||1 Medium, torn into small pieces|
Mix sugar and mayonnaise; blend in cream or evaporated milk.
Add vinegar and salt.
Immediately before serving pour dressing over lettuce.
Toss so that every piece of let tuce is well coated.
