Springerle With Anise Seeds
|Honey||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Whole wheat flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Anise seeds||1 Tablespoon, crushed|
Beat eggs until light.
Gradually add honey.
Add flour and anise seeds.
Use hands to mix until dough is stiff and smooth.
Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness.
Press Springer form over dough to impress patterns.
Cut into squares.
Arrange squares close together on unoiled cookie sheets.
Allow to remain on sheets 8 hours or overnight.
Then bake at 325Â° F. for about 10 minutes, or until light brown.
