French-Fried Mushrooms With Tartar Sauce
|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Eggs||3 , beaten|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Dry breadcrumbs||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Tartar sauce||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Combine flour, salt, and pepper.
Combine eggs, oil, and water, mixing well.
Clean mushrooms with damp paper towels.
Dredge mushrooms in flour mixture, and dip in egg mixture, roll in breadcrumbs.
Refrigerate at least 1 1/2 hours.
Deep fry mushrooms in hot oil (375Â°) until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve mushrooms with tartar sauce.
