Ingredients
  All-purpose flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Beef bottom round/Beef round steak either top round / sirloin tip 2 Pound (1 Inch Thick)
  Shortening 2 Tablespoon (Without Rind)
  Tomatoes 8 Ounce (Around 0.75 Inch Thick)
  Minced onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Minced green pepper 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

Stir together flour, salt and pepper.
Sprinkle one side of meat with half the flour mixture; pound in.
Turn meat and pound in remaining flour mixture.
Cut meat into 6 serving pieces.
Melt shortening in large skillet; brown meat over medium heat, about 15 minutes.
Cover tightly; simmer 1 hour.
Add small amount of water if necessary.
Mix remaining ingredients; pour over meat.
Cover tightly; simmer 30 minutes or until tender.
