Stuffed Bread Rolls

Today I'll be making stuffed bread rolls. Fresh, tasty rolls, with a generous, delicious core of goat cheese, chorizo and sun-dried tomatoes. Perfect as an accompaniment to soup or light meals. If you're not a fan of the stuffing it's super easy to customize it to your preferences!

Ingredients

For bread
Plain flour 1 Kilogram
Dried yeast 2 1/2 Tablespoon
Castor sugar 2 Tablespoon
Salt 3 Teaspoon
Warm water 600 Milliliter
Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
For filliing
Chorizo sausage 1 , casting removed, finely copped (one link about 15 cms long)
Goat cheese 150 Gram , finely chopped
Sundried tomato 50 Gram , finely chopped
For dusting
Flour 3 Tablespoon (For dusting)

Directions

GETTING READY

1. In a bowl, add yeast along with the sugar, pour warm water(200 ml).Set aside for 15 minutes to activate.

2. In a large bowl, place flour, add salt and mix.

3. Make a well in the center of the flour, pour in the yeast mixture along with the water(400 ml) and mix well.

4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 15 minutes.

5. In a bowl, pour olive oil and place the dough in it. Turn the dough several times to coat with olive oil completely. Cover with a clean cloth. Allow to sit for 60 minutes, until it is double in size.

MAKING

6. In a bowl, place sausage, sun dried tomato and the goat cheese, mix well.

7. Cut the dough into 24 equal parts.

8. Flatten each portion to form a 3 inch disc, place a spoonful of filling in the center and bring the edges together, pinch to close.

9. Roll once again to get even shaped balls. Arrange on a baking tray with the pressed side down. Cover with a cloth and allow to sit for 45 minutes.

10. Preheat the oven to 230 C.

11. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove and allow to cool for few minutes.

SERVING

12. Serve warm.
