In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Macaroni and Cheese, Please! This is a great variation on Mac 'n Cheese that I plan to serve my family on Easter.
Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Ground black pepper | 1 Dash | |
Milk | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
Finely shredded cheddar cheese | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Sour cream | 8 Ounce | |
Uncooked macaroni | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) , cooked, drained (use ½ teaspoon salt in the boiling water) | |
Paprika | 1 Dash (to sprinkle on top) (Optional) |
MAKING
1. In a medium-sized saucepan, melt butter. Add flour, salt, and ground black pepper. Stir well.
2. Gradually stir in milk and cheddar cheese. Stir, and cook over medium heat until thickened and smooth.
3. Add sour cream and cooked macaroni into the saucepan. Mix well and heat mixture through, but do not boil. Add more milk if the sauce is too thick.
FINALIZING
4. In a nice serving bowl, transfer the macaroni and sprinkle with a dash of paprika.
SERVING
5. Serve hot and enjoy!
