This Maple syrup French Toast is a real weekend treat!
Ciabatta loaf | 1 Pound | |
Maple syrup | 2 Tablespoon | |
Eggs | 4 | |
Pure vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
Half and half | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
Salt | 1 Pinch | |
Nutmeg | 1/2 Teaspoon , freshly grated | |
Butter | 2 Tablespoon |
GETTING READY
1. Cut loaf into slices, depending on the thickness you like. Keep it aside.
MAKING
2. In a mixing bowl, break eggs and add vanilla extract to it.
3. Add half and half, salt, maple syrup, and nutmeg in bowl. Whisk it well.
4. Pour mixture in a shallow dish, and dunk bread in it. Flip and coat on both sides. Let the bread piece absorb egg mixture.
5. Place a skillet on medium high heat for about a minute. Melt butter in it. Swirl and spread.
6. Shake off excess egg mixture from bread and place it in skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes, flip and repeat.
SERVING
7. Drizzle maple syrup on top of French toast and serve it immediately.
