|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Ice cream||(for serving)|
"Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar.
Beat in sugar gradually until stiff peaks form and mixture is glossy.
Drop from spoon in mounds or form Christmas tree or Easter egg shapes.
Make center hollows with back of spoon.
Place in oven; turn off oven.
Let stand overnight in oven.
Fill with ice cream to serve; top with sauce, if desired."
