|Strudel dough||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Melted butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Tart apples||6 , thinly sliced (Peeled Cored)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Confectioner' s sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Make and stretch strudel dough according to directions.
Brush the surface of dough with some of the melted butter.
Sprinkle the bread crumbs over 2/3 of the dough.
Sprinkle re- maining ingredients over bread crumbs.
Roll and place on a but- tered baking sheet.
Brush top of roll with remaining butter.
Bake in a moderate oven (350°F.) about 45 minutes.
Sprinkle gener- ously with confectioners' sugar and serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.
