|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Pound, chopped|
|Dates||1⁄2 Pound, chopped|
|Figs||1⁄2 Pound, chopped|
|Nuts||1⁄4 Pound, chopped|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Orange juice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Sift flour, 1 cup sugar and salt together; cut in but- ter.
Beat 1 egg with cream; stir into flour mixture.
Spread dough in greased 16 x 10 x 1-inch pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
Beat remaining eggs and remaining sugar together; add fruits and nuts.
Stir in fruit juices; spread over baked pastry.
Bake for 15 minutes longer.
Cool; cut into bars.
