Chocolate Meringue Pie

Ingredients
  Rich shortcrust pastry 8 Ounce
For filling
  Cocoa 2 Ounce
  Granulated sugar 4 Ounce
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Cornflour 2 Tablespoon
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon (1 Dessertspoon)
  Milk 1 Pint
  Egg yolks 2 , beaten
  Butter 1 Ounce
  Vanilla essence 4 Drop
For meringue
  Egg whites 2
  Cream of tartar 1 Pinch
  Caster sugar 4 Ounce
Directions

GETTING READY
1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

MAKING
2.Bake the pastry after lining it with flan ring.
3.In a saucepan, combine cocoa, sugar, salt, cornflour and flour.
4.Let the ingredients boil.
5.Keep stirring and cook for 1 more minute.
6.Put half the mixture prepared in egg yolks and mix well.
7.Transfer the egg yolk mixture back to the pan and cook again for a minute.
8.Add butter and vanilla essence to it.
9.Mix well and pour the mixture in prepared pastry.
10.Blend wgg whites and cream of tartar until light.
11.Slowly add sugar and continue blending.
12.Put the mixture on chocolate filling.
13.Bake for 8- 10 minutes.

SERVING
14.Serve cold with whipped cream.
