1) Spread the bread slices with 1/2 cup butter and make 6 cheese sandwiches.
2) In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk and salt together.
3) Dip the cheese sandwiches in egg mixture and saute in 1/4 cup butter, until evenly brown on both the sides.
4) Serve the Swiss Toast immediately with hot blackberry syrup.
