Norwegian country loaf is an easy to prepare bread. It is healthy and coarse bread which is very easy to slice. The Norwegian Country loaf is served with butter for breakfast and meals. It is usually served as a side dish. Here is a simple recipe for baking Norwegian Country Loaf.
Ingredients
  Yeast 2 Tablespoon
  Milk 2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs) (Lukewarm)
  Molasses 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted
  Rye flour 4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs), sifted
  Whole wheat flour 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  All purpose flour 4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1)In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in milk and add 1 1/4 cups molasses, salt and margarine.
2)Slowly fold in rye flour and whole wheat flour.
3)Add enough flour to make stiff dough and mix until smooth.
4)Shape into 2 oblong loaves.
5)Take greased baking sheets and put the dough into them.
6)Allow to rise until doubled in bulk.
7)In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons molasses with 1 tablespoon water and brush on loaves.
8)Sprinkle some whole wheat flour and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until well browned.
9)Wrap each loaf in a towel and cool.

SERVING
10)Serve the Norwegian Country Loaf sliced with butter.
