|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Do Not Substitute)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs), mixed with 1 teaspoon baking powder and pinch of salt and then sifted|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Cherry bits||1 Tablespoon|
|Citron slips||1 Tablespoon|
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add flour mixture and vanilla.
Put dough into a cookie press and make round rings.
Keep remaining dough in refrigerator.
Decorate with cherry bits and citron slips to make a wreath.
Bake at 325 degrees about 10 minutes until lightly brown.
Yield: About 6 dozen.
