|Plain flour||8 Ounce (225 Gram)|
|Sugar||1 Ounce (25 Gram)|
|Buttermilk||1⁄2 Pint (300 Milliliter)|
1 Preheat a heavy pan or griddle.
2 Into a mixer bowl, put all the ingredients and beat until mixture is a thick dropping consistency.
3 Add more buttermilk if required.
4 Grease or oil pan and drop tablespoonfuls into rounds - do not overlap.
5 Turn over when bubbles appear on the top and the bottom is golden.
6 Cook other side till golden.
7 Cool on wire tray or in a clean teatowel.
8 Serve warm or cold with butter, honey or jam.
