Potatoes With Mushroom Sauce In The Russian Style

Ingredients
  Potatoes 2 Pound (675 - 900 Gram)
  Onion 1 , chopped
  Mushrooms 12 Ounce, chopped (350 Gram)
  Butter 1 1⁄2 Ounce (40 Gram)
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon (Or 1 Heaped Teaspoon)
  Soured cream 1⁄2 Pint (300 Milliliter)
  Dill/Fennel 1 Teaspoon, chopped
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

MAKING
1 Throughly scrub the potatoes and boil them without peeling.
2 In a pan, add butter and cook onion and mushrooms for 15 minutes.
3 Throughly stir in the flour and add the soured cream slowly. Heat carefully making sure it does not boil.
4 Add most of the dill or fennel. Leave aside some of the herb for garnish.
5 Add salt and pepper for seasoning.
6 Peel the potatoes once cooked, slice them and arrange in a serving dish.

SERVING
7 Evenly spread the mushroom sauce over potatoes and garnish with remaining dill or fennel.
