Swiss Steak With Peppers
|Beef round steak||2 Pound, cut in serving pieces and floured|
|Salad oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Condensed cream of mushroom soup||10 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Water||120 Milliliter (1 Soup Can)|
|Garlic powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Onion||1 Small, chopped|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1 In a conventional skillet or in microwave oven, brown meat in hot oil on range.
2 To brown in microwave oven, preheat browning skillet for 6 minutes.
3 Pour oil in hot pan and cook meat for 1 1/2 minutes, turn over, and cook for 1 minute.
4 In a 2-quart glass casserole, place the meat.
5 In a mixing bowl, blend soup with water, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
6 Pour over meat. Arrange onion and . green pepper on top.
7 Cook, covered,for 10 minutes; rest for 5 minutes.
8 Rotate dish one-quarter turn and cook for 7 to, 8 minutes; rest for 5 minutes.
9 Rotate dish one-quarter turn and cook for 10 minutes.
10 Rest for 10 minutes before serving.
11 Serve hot.
