|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|White sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Cream of tartar||1 Teaspoon|
|Flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
Cream margarine and sugar, add egg and vanilla and beat well.
Sift together and add the dry ingredients.
Roll out on floured board to 1/4 inch thickness.
Cut out with 2 inch round cutter.
Bake on lightly greased sheets at 375°F for 8 minutes.
Cool and put together with strawberry jam.
Ice and decorate with snips of candied cherry.
