Savory Slow Cooked Grains

Ingredients
  Brown rice 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Uncooked)
  Wild rice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Uncooked)
  Green lentils 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Uncooked)
  Chopped fresh mushroom 8 Ounce (3 Cups)
  Coarsely chopped carrots 1 Cup (16 tbs) (2 Medium Ones)
  Chopped green onions 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (12 Medium Ones)
  Roasted vegetable stock/Chicken broth 32 Ounce (4 Cups)
  Tamari sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Dry sherry 2 Tablespoon (If Desired)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon, melted
  Dried thyme leaves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Garlic salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Chopped walnuts 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), toasted
  Finely chopped parsley 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1 In a 3 1/2 to 4 quart slow cooker mix all the ingredients except walnuts and parsley.
2 Cover and cook on low heat setting for 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 hours or until the grains are tender.Stir before serving.

SERVING
3 Sprinkle with walnuts and parsley before serving.
