|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1. Preheat the oven to 475 degrees
2. In a large bowl, beat the egg whites till stiff and frothy. Add the cream of tartar to the egg whites and beat well again.
3. Add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time; beat until stiff peaks form. Spread over ice cream and cake, swirling in peaks to cover completely. Bake at for 3 to 4 minutes; serve immediately.
4. Serve chilled.
