Pennsylvania Dutch Shoofly Pie
|8 inch pastry shell||2 (Unbaked)|
|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (1 Stick)|
|Dark molasses||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
Sift together flour, sugar, and baking powder.
Cut in butter.
In a sepa-ratebowl,mixmolasses,bakingsoda, and water.
Stir in salt, egg, and 2 cups of the flour-butter mixture.
Pour into prepared pie shells and sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
