Dutch Meat Loaf
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Bulk pork sausage||1 Pound|
|Bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Canned tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Brown sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Prepared mustard||2 Tablespoon|
In mixing bowl combine ground beef, sausage, bread crumbs, onion, 1/2 cup tomato sauce, egg, and salt.
Shape into loaf in baking pan.
Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Drain off excess fat.
Combine rest (1/2 cup) of tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, prepared mustard, and water.
Bake 45 minutes longer.
Baste loaf several times during the baking process.
