Swedish Pot Roast

Ingredients
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Ground allspice 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Chuck pot roast/Arm pot roast 4 Pound
  Melted butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon
  Brandy 3 Tablespoon
  Onions 2 Medium, sliced
  Hot beef bouillon 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Vinegar 2 Tablespoon
  Molasses 2 Tablespoon
  Anchovy fillets 3 , minced
  Bay leaves 2
  All purpose flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1) In a bowl mix salt, allspice, and pepper.
2) Spread and rub the mixture on the exterior of roast.
3) In a Dutch oven add butter and brown roast on all sides.
4) Turn off the heat and let stand 3 to 4 minutes till the sizzling stops.
5) Gently pour brandy over roast and ignite. Let the flames die down.
6) Add onions on top of roast.
7) Mix thoroughly remaining ingredients except flour and water.
8) Pour the mixture over roast.
9) Place the pan over heat. Cover and simmer for 2 hours.
10) Place the roast on a serving platter. Keep the pan drippings aside.
11) In a bowl mix flour and water and stir well.
12) Add the flour mixture into pan drippings. Stir constantly till thickened.

SERVING
13) In a serving platter, serve gravy with roast.
