Irish Soda Bread
|Flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Caraway seeds||1 Tablespoon|
|Baking powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Buttermilk||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Melted margarine||1 Tablespoon|
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, sugar, caraway seeds, baking powder, salt, baking soda and raisins in bowl; mix well.
Beat buttermilk and eggs in bowl for 30 seconds.
Add margarine, beating for 10 seconds.
Stir into flour mixture.
Spoon into greased and floured 9-inch round cast-iron skillet or loaf pan.
Bake for 50 minutes or until brown.
