Swedish Meat Balls
|Finely ground beef||1 Pound|
|Dry bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Onion||1⁄2 Small, grated|
|Bacon drippings/Fat||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs) (For Deep Frying)|
|Hot water/Bouillon / wine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
1. Mix all the ingredients together and shape into 36 1.5 inch diameter balls. Take a heavy skillet with bacon drippings or hot fat, add the balls and on low heat, allow them to turn golden brown.
2. Pour in 1/4 cup hot water, bouillon or wine, cover firmly and allow to simmer for 20 minutes.
3. Serve on toothpicks.
