Melt butter in a bowl until soft, but not melted. Add flour and salt. Use a pastry cutter or mix with hands until mixture can be made to stick together, but easily crumbles. Add a handful (6 to 8 tsp) cold water, knead with hands. Flour rolling surface. Roll out dough. Roll dough onto rolling pin and roll off onto pie pan. Pinch edges for a fancy touch! Fill with deliciousness and bake, covering fancy edges with aluminum foil until 5 minutes before end of cooking time.
