|Soft butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Sifted all purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Blanched almonds||2 Tablespoon, split|
Cream butter and sugar and beat until light.
Add vanilla and stir in sifted dry ingredients; mix well.
Form into small balls.
Put on ungreased cookie sheets and press an almond half on top of each.
Bake in preheated slow oven (300°F.) for about 20 minutes.
