Family Swiss Steak
|Steak||2 Pound (Swiss / Family / Round)|
|Canned mushroom stems and pieces||4 Ounce (1 Can, Undrained / 1/2 Cup)|
|Onion||1 Large, sliced|
|Tomato juice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cut steak into 6 pieces.
Coat with flour.
Brown on both sides in hot oil in large fry pan.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Add mushrooms with liquid, onion and tomato juice.
Simmer on top of range or bake at 350° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
