Swiss Pies

Ingredients
  Bacon slices 6
  Chopped onion 1 Cup (16 tbs) (About 2 Medium)
  Eggs 2 , slightly beaten
  Dairy sour cream 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Swiss cheese 12 Ounce, cut in 1/2 inch cubes (2 1/2 Cups)
  4 inch tart shells 6 , unbaked
Directions

Fry bacon till crisp; drain on paper towels.
Drain off all but 2 tablespoons bacon fat; add onion and cook till just tender.
Combine eggs, sour cream, onions, salt, pepper, cheese, and crumbled bacon.
Pour into tart shells.
Bake in moderate oven (375°) till knife inserted halfway between outside and center of filling comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes.
Garnish with chopped chives, if desired.
