Apples And Cornflakes Crisp
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Crushed cornflakes||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Slightly Crushed)|
|Tart cooking apples||2 Pound (About 6 Medium)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
Mix flour, butter and brown sugar with tips of fingers until thoroughly blended.
Add cornflakes and mix well.
Peel and slice apples into buttered baking dish, 10" x 6" x 2".
Pack firmly and sprinkle with lemon juice and top with cornflake mixture.
Bake in a moderately hot oven (375° F.) for 30 minutes or until apples are tender.
Serve warm or cold with cream.
