Swedish Hamburger Steak For Forty
|Hamburger||15 Pound, finely ground|
|Bread loaf||1 Small, cubed|
|Onions||4 Medium, grated|
|Evaporated milk||16 Ounce (1 Large Can)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), pressed|
|Eggs||6 , slightly beaten|
|Cooking oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Scant)|
|Onion soup mix||2 Ounce (1 Box)|
|Consomme||2 Can (20 oz)|
Combine the hamburger, salt, pepper, bread, onions, milk, 1 milk can water, garlic and eggs and mix well.
Shape into patties and brown in small amount of oil.
Place in large pans.
Combine the flour and soup mix in a large saucepan, then stir in the consomme gradually until well blended.
Add 2 consomme cans water and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Pour over patties and simmer for 1 hour, adding water if needed.
