Spicy Apple Crisp
|Thinly sliced pared tart apples||6 Cup (96 tbs)|
|Chopped pecans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), packed|
|Unsifted flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Quick cooking oats||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Butter/Regular margarine||3 Tablespoon|
|Sweetened whipped cream||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
Combine apples, pecans and raisins in bowl.
Arrange one half of the apple mixture in 9" glass pie plate.
Sprinkle with 3/4 c. of the brown sugar.
Top with remaining apple mixture.
Combine remaining 3/4 c. brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg in bowl.
Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly, using pastry blender.
Sprinkle crumb mixture over apple mixture.
Microwave at high setting 10 minutes, or until apples are tender, rotating dish one-quarter turn every 4 minutes.
Spoon into dessert dishes.
Top with whipped cream.
