Beef Irish Stew
|Stewing beef||2 Pound, cut into 1 inch cubes|
|Brown gravy mix with mushrooms||1 1⁄4 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Celery stalks||3 , cut into 1 inch slices|
|Carrots||3 Medium, sliced|
|Potatoes||3 Medium, peeled and cut in eighths|
Place beef cubes in 3-quart microproof casserole or baking dish.
Sprinkle with salt.
Stir together gravy mix and water.
Pour over meat.
Cook, covered, on 70 (roast) 50 minutes, stirring once during cooking.
Add vegetables and mix to cover with gravy.
Cook, covered, on 50 (simmer) 40 to 50 minutes, or until vegetables and meat are tender.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
