Swiss Cheese And Potato Chowder
|Grated cheese||100 Gram (1 Cup)|
|Potatoes||3 Medium, peeled and sliced|
|Milk||425 Milliliter (2 Cups)|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Egg yolk||1 , beaten|
|Dried marjoram||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Salt||2 Teaspoon (Leveled)|
|Water||4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs)|
|Chopped mint/Chopped parsley||2 Tablespoon|
|Croutons||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1. Boil potatoes until soft, peel and press through sieve, add water, mix.well.
2. Melt butter in a large pan, saute onion till transparent, add flour stir well for few minutes, add potatoes and water mixture and bring to boil. Stir all the time, cook for 10 minutes.
3. Mix cheese and milk, stir into soup. Cook until cheese is melted.
4. Add seasoning. Remove from heat, stir in beaten egg yolk. Serve at once garnished with croutons and mint or parsley.
