|Boiling potatoes||2 Pound, peeled and quartered (Raw)|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Green onions||1 Bunch (100 gm)|
|Milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Put potatoes, 1 teaspoon salt and water in saucepan.
Cover and cook until tender.
Meanwhile, trim about half the tops off green onions.
Cut onions in 1-inch pieces.
Simmer with milk and 1/4 cup butter 5 minutes, or until tender.
Drain potatoes if necessary, return to low heat and shake pan to dry potatoes.
Mash potatoes and gradually beat in onions and milk.
Beat hard in mixer or with wooden spoon until potatoes are fluffy and onions entirely absorbed.
Additional hot milk may be needed.
Taste and season with salt and pepper.
