|Cream of tartar||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Beat egg whites until foamy.
Add salt and cream of tartar.
When soft whites reach peak stage, slowly beat in sugar.
Beat until whites are stiff and glossy, not dry.
Spread meringue over pie or pudding.
Microwave at HIGH 2 1/2 to 3 minutes.
Rotate dish 1/4 turn after 1 minute.
