1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly coat a 9-by-9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, butter, rolled oats, salt.
3. In a large bowl, combine apples, granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon; pour into the baking prn. Cover evenly with topping, pressing it firmly onto apples.
4. Bake for 35 minutes, or until lightly browned
