|Milk||30 Milliliter (2 tablespoons)|

|Lemon juice||30 Milliliter (2 tablespoons)|
Mash the roe and garlic in a mortar or bowl with a pestle or fork until smooth.
Soak the bread in the milk, then squeeze out as much milk as possible.
Add the bread to the roe and continue mashing.
Beat in the oil a little at a time.
Stir in the lemon juice and season to taste with the salt and pepper.
