Hearty Polish Soup

Ingredients
  Bacon slices 4 , diced
  Onions 3 Medium, sliced
  Beef 1⁄2 Pound, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
  Pork 1⁄2 Pound, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
  Caraway seeds 1 Tablespoon
  Seasoned salt 2 Teaspoon
  Garlic powder 1 Teaspoon
  Paprika 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Beef-bouillon cubes 2 , crushed
  Water 8 Cup (128 tbs)
  Brand rice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Smoked polish sausage 1 Pound, sliced
  Tomato 1 Medium, chopped
  Garlic croutons 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

In a Dutch oven, fry bacon until crisp.
Remove bacon bits; drain on paper toweling.
Pour off all but 2 tablespoons bacon drippings.
Add onions, beef and pork.
Cook until onion is tender, stirring often.
Add caraway seeds, seasoned salt, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, bouillon cubes and 2 cups of the water.
Cover.
Cook 1-1/2 hours stirring frequently.
Add remaining water, rice, sausage and tomato.
Bring to a boil and cover.
Simmer until beef and pork are tender, about 25 minutes.
