Ingredients
  Soft bread crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1 , well beaten
  Applesauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Catsup 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Ground beef 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Minced onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  White wine/Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Mix thoroughly the bread crumbs, egg, 1/2 cup applesauce, 3/4 cup catsup, seasonings; blend in meat, onion.
Form into 1 inch balls.
Bake in large, shallow pan 15 min. at 425 degrees.
Drain fat.
Combine remaining applesauce, catsup and wine.
Spoon over meatballs.
Bake 10 minutes longer.
